Police in Wichita, KS said they've located the body and the vehicle of a woman who went missing after her boyfriend was found murdered. KSN reports 18-year-old Kaylah Blackmon's body was found inside her 2005 Ford Escape at a local apartment complex. A cause of death has not been revealed.

On February 2, 2021, police say they were called to the 1000 block of North Ash for the report of a shooting. Authorities say they were contacted after a Good Samaritan spotted 17-year-old Michael Beasley lying in the grass at an abandoned church.

First responders with the Sedgwick County Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and found Beasley unresponsive. He was pronounced deceased at the location, a press release adds. The call was reportedly made at 9:26 a.m. and Beasley was pronounced at 9:33 a.m.

During a recent press conference posted by KSN, Wichita Police Officer Charley Davidson said Blackmon "might be in danger." It is reported that this is now the eighth homicide in 2021 for this area.
