Frias, previously a US Marshals Top 15 Most Wanted fugitive, is this program's first direct result capture. Investigators say that after watching In Pursuit, an anonymous tipster in Mexico contacted authorities to report where he was hiding out south of the border.

The US Marshals took the tip seriously and began working the location. Within only a few days, Frias was in handcuffs and extradited back to the United States.

One of the first certificates of recognition went directly to John and Callahan Walsh for their tremendous work on the show. The second certificate was awarded to Kevin Bennett, the General Manager of Investigation Discovery; along with colleague and Coordinating Producer, Elizabeth Stephenson. The third and final award was given to the call center staff. Hotline Manager Samara Toro was on hand to accept the recognition certificate on behalf of all of the operators.
