Virginia Parents Charged With Murder After Baby Dies From Heroin & Cocaine Intoxication

DANVILLE, VA — Eugene Chandler, Jr., and Shaleigh Brumfield have been charged with murder in the death of their infant daughter.

Police said that the autopsy report showed that the baby girl, Marleigh Chandler, died due to "acute heroin and cocaine intoxication in a setting of co-sleeping."

Chandler and Brumfield were charged with felony homicide and abuse and neglect of a child.

The couple remains in Danville City Jail, being held without bond.

Florida Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Boy For Years

TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man, Prudencio Diaz, 67, has been arrested for the sexual abuse of a child that took place in the 1990s.

Authorities say that Diaz met the boy's mother through a newspaper dating advertisement. Reports say that within months of starting the relationship, Diaz began abusing the woman's son sexually. The alleged victim has told authorities that the abuse occurred a few times a week from when he was 9 years old until he was 13.

Diaz has reportedly admitted to the allegations and has been charged with two counts of sexual battery on a child under 12 years old and two counts of sexual battery against a child 12 or older.

Man Arrested For Allegedly Killing, Beheading Roommate's Dog As She Was Moving Out

BUCKEYE, AZ — Jose Vega Meza, 21, is facing two charges of animal cruelty after reportedly beheading his roommate's dog.

Police said the female roommate was moving her things out of the apartment when she noticed that her dog had not been seen in a while. A few hours later, Vega Meza was spotted allegedly attempting to sneak a box onto her moving truck. When she asked what was inside, police say he allegedly "smiled" and refused to answer.

“When the victim opened the box, she found her dead, mutilated, headless dog inside,” police said.

According to reports, Vega Meza has also been charged with misdemeanor assault after allegedly attacking another prisoner at the jail.

Court records did not list an attorney for Vega Meza, and he remains behind bars on a $20,000 bond.

Florida Woman Arrested For Allegedly Stomping On A Sea Turtle Nest

MIAMI BEACH, FL — Michigan woman Yaqun Lu, 41, was reportedly spotted jabbing at a sea turtle nest with a stick and “stomping all over the nest with her bare feet.”

Lu was charged with marine turtle or egg molestation or harassment and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, from where she bonded out.

While out on bond, Lu was arrested again, as she reportedly attempted to leave the country, which she was not allowed to do under the terms of her bond.

As Lu is a Chinese citizen, authorities notified the Houston, Texas, Chinese consulate of her arrest.

Florida Man Arrested For Dancing Naked At McDonald's

COLLIER COUNTY, FL — Police were called to a Florida McDonald's restaurant due to a disturbance caused by a man who was allegedly dancing in the nude.

Authorities found John F. Morgan, 63, with whom they'd had contact at that same location in the past, and in fact he'd been banned from that particular McDonald's.

In addition to dancing, witnesses stated that Morgan appeared to be "having relations with a railing."

Morgan, who witnesses said appeared to be on drugs, was arrested and charged with trespass on property other than structure. Morgan, who is reportedly homeless, was jailed on $2,000 bond.

Mother Of Toddler Reported Missing Has Been Arrested

HAMPTON, VA — Julia Tomlin, 34, has claimed that she last saw her toddler son, Noah, on June 24, in his bed at 1 A.M. in their mobile home.

But Friday, June 28, Hampton police chief Terry Sult stated that they believe that Noah is no longer alive. "Based on the highly coordinated investigation we believe him to be deceased. This leaves us a little bit speechless, but the search for Noah continues. We’ll never give up hope," Sult said.

In 2010, Tomlin was arrested for felony child neglect for intentionally burning her one-year-old daughter on a hot stove. She spent five months in jail for that offense.

Tomlin has been arrested on three counts of felony child neglect. Her other children are in the care of Child Protective Services.

It's unknown at this time whether Tomlin has entered a plea.

Florida Man Claims Cocaine Found In His Nostrils Is Not His

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Fabricio Jimenez, 20, was just the passenger in a car that was pulled over at 3:45 A.M. for a traffic stop by a Hillsborough County deputy.

The deputy reportedly noticed a white substance around Jimenez's nostrils, and was able to field test and positively identify the substance as cocaine.

After a search, more cocaine, some marijuana, and some Xanax pills were allegedly also discovered in Jimenez's possession.

In the course of his arrest for three felony narcotics possession charges, Jimenez claimed to officers that the cocaine located in his nostrils did not belong to him.

At the time of his arrest, Jimenez was on probation for a previous conviction on cocaine and marijuana charges.
