Violent Sex Offender Cuts Off Ankle Monitor, Escapes From Halfway House

Texas police are on the hunt for Richard Dale Price who is described as “high risk” with “violent tendencies.”

HOUSTON, TX — Richard Dale Price, 55, has been described as a “high-risk sex offender” who has “violent tendencies,” and since October 2018, he has been on the run.

Authorities say Price was on parole for burglary when he cut a monitoring device off of his ankle and ran away from his halfway house. Police initially believed Price may have been hiding out around downtown Houston.

He is currently wanted for parole violation and indecency with a child in Johnson County.

Price is described as a white man; standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall; and weighing roughly 160 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his arms, legs, left hand, back, chest and abdomen.
