NASHVILLE, TN — Nashville Metro Police reports that a local man was arrested on Sunday after his wife found a cell phone video of him raping a five-year-old boy.

John Calvillo, 20, was then charged with rape of a child on Monday morning.

According to the arrest affidavit, Calvillo’s wife discovered the sexual-assault video on her husband’s phone. It was dated March 22, 2019. She said the rape occurred in the couple’s apartment, as she recognized her own bedding and furniture.

The wife also said she could identify both the victim and the alleged perpetrator by hearing their voices on the video. In addition, she said the boy is related to her.
