A wife found herself in a real-life nightmare after she claims to have dreamed her spouse was “messing around” with someone else, Mississippi authorities say.

Lindsey Stephens, 33, allegedly told investigators “she had a dream that her husband had been cheating,” so she went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed him multiple times while he was still in bed, Det. Abraham McKenzie of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department said, according to the Laurel Leader-Call.

The Vicksburg Daily News reported Stephens allegedly knifed her husband up to seven times, including at least four times in the back.

Booking records show Stephens was arrested and charged with domestic aggravated assault, and Jones County Justice Court Judge Sonny Saul set her bond at $10,000.

Stephens’ husband reportedly underwent surgery for his injuries the day after the alleged attack and is expected to make a full recovery.
