AURORA, CO — A Colorado couple has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty after allegedly having sex with a dog in the backyard of their trailer home.

Fredrick Blue Manzanares, 51, and Janette Eileen Solano, 49, were arrested in March for the sexual abuse of the male Akita mix.

Aurora Police were responding to a domestic violence call in 2017 when Solano told police that she and her boyfriend got into an argument after she refused to have sex with their dog, Bubba. She told police that Manzanares began “introducing her to bestiality" and built a "sex chamber" fitted out with a padded bench designed to have sex with the dog, according to KDVR. Manzanares would allegedly take pictures and videos during the sex acts.

Both have taken plea agreements, the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday. Solano pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty; Manzanares pleaded guilty to two counts.

Police reportedly found the videos of Manzanares, Solano, and the dog having sex — and the woman told police that she was jealous of her boyfriend’s relationship with Bubba.

Manzanares and Solano are due to be sentenced in mid-October.

Prosecutors said that Bubba in no longer living with Manzanares and is in the care of the Aurora Animal Shelter.
