Florida Man Puts On Dog Costume, Has Sex With Dog, Posts Video Online, Cops Say

OLDSMAR, FL — Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a local man after he allegedly posted a video of himself online in which he was dressed in a Siberian husky costume, performing sex acts on a Siberian husky.

Christian Nichols, 21, was taken into custody last Monday without incident. Detectives say he confessed to creating the video and sharing it on the internet.

The investigation into Nichols reportedly began on January 25 after someone in another state alerted Pinellas County Animal Services to photos and videos online that depicted a man dressed in a black-and-white husky dog costume sexually assaulting an actual husky dog.

According to the affidavit, “The video depicts images of a man dressed in a black-and-white Husky dog costume. The costumed man is seen in the video using his penis and multiple penis-shaped sex toys to have inappropriate sexual contact with a Siberian husky dog... The dog in the video was clearly in distress. At one point during the video, the dog tries to run away and the man responds by striking the dog with a sex toy.”

Pinellas County Animal Services removed the husky, named Ember, and another dog from Nichols’ residence and took the animals to safety.

Nichols faces one felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty and seven misdemeanor counts of committing a prohibited act with obscene material. His bond is set at $10,000.

Detectives said the additional obscenity-related charges arose from other videos discovered in Nichols’ bedroom. Those videos allegedly depict other people sexually abusing dogs.
