Florida Woman Tells Cops 'Windy Day' Blew Cocaine Into Her Purse

FORT PIERCE, FL — After police found a bag of cocaine in the purse of Florida resident Kennecia Posey, 26, she offered a novel explanation — she said the wind must have blown it in there.

After officers pulled over a swerving car in which Posey was a passenger, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, one officer found separate bags of pot and cocaine inside a purse that had been on Posey’s lap.

According to the official report, Posey admitted the weed was hers, but claimed to be surprised by the other discovery, telling the police:

“I don’t know anything about any cocaine. It’s a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse.”

Despite admittedly not being expert meteorologists, the officers didn’t buy Posey’s weather-based theory and arrested her.

Posey was booked on one felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession. She was later released on bond.
