HOUSTON, TX — A Texas woman has been arrested for allegedly biting off and swallowing a piece of another woman’s nose when the pair got into an argument that turned physical. Both women had reportedly been drinking.

Jessica Collins, 41, has been charged with assault causing bodily injury over the incident, which reportedly occurred Wednesday night in the Houston suburb of Spring, Texas.

Collins allegedly spent the earlier part of the evening in a bar, accompanied by a friend with whom she was staying and that friend’s next door neighbor — a woman who has only been identified as “Tatiana.”

After leaving the bar, the group reportedly went back to Tatiana’s residence where, according to the impromptu hostess, Collins demanded more alcohol and cigarettes.

Tatiana says that she asked Collins to leave, prompting her guest to fly into a rage and yank her to the ground by her hair. From there, Collins allegedly chomped off a considerable chunk of Tatiana’s nose — and swallowed it.

Speaking to the press, Tatiana said she was so stunned by the melee that she didn’t realize what happened until she was en route to a nearby hospital. She said:

“I didn’t have time to react, to push her away. I think I was trying to fight back, but I couldn’t. All I could remember was the taste of blood in my mouth … I started calling my husband when I was in the ambulance. I was screaming, like, ‘I don’t have a nose! I’m 28 years old and I don’t have a nose anymore!'”

Doctors reportedly told Tatiana she will require emergency plastic surgery. Since Tatiana doesn’t have health insurance, a friend of hers set up a GoFundMe campaign to help finance $12,000 in medical expenses. The GoFundMe page contains an up-close photo of what is reportedly Tatiana’s severely mangled nose. WARNING: The image is gnarly, but if you still want to check it out, click here.

In the meantime, Jessica Collins has been released on $1,000 bond and is expected back in court today. According to Facebook, Collins is a divorced mom of three who works at a Michael’s art supply store. She has also been ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
