Son Allegedly Cut Off Dad's Penis, Killed Him & Posted Selfies With the Body on Facebook

CHICAGO, IL — A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Chicago after police say he brutally murdered his father, cut off his penis, and then posed for a series of sick selfies on Facebook with the body.

Carlton Edmondson, a self-described producer and singer-songwriter under the name Cryptonite Beatz, was taken into custody on Saturday in connection with the killing and dismemberment of his father, 61-year-old Carl Edmondson. Police discovered the body of the elder Edmondson in the basement of his home on South Bishop Street after they arrived at the residence to conduct a welfare check. Blood and brain matter were also reportedly found at the scene.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the victim’s head had been smashed in and his penis was severed. Investigators also found a Bowie knife, circular saw, and gasoline can hear the body.

Several posts were made to Facebook on the day Edmondson was arrested. Gruesome photos, apparently posted by Edmondson, were posted after the alleged murder. One (now deleted) post reportedly appeared to show the victim’s battered head with the caption, “Yo bAudie is mA party #babhyhh.” Another Facebook post appeared to reference a dismembered body part. It reads: “Oh yeS 15miLlioN f4 tHE dIcK.”

Another photo, tagged with #silenceofthelambs, shows Edmondson with what appears to be red stains on his jacket.

A judge has ordered that Edmondson, whose father had requested an order of protection against him in the past, be taken to a hospital to undergo a medical evaluation. The 26-year-old murder suspect has an extensive criminal history, which includes arrests for petty theft, public intoxication, and indecent exposure.
