Search Is On for Texas Man Who Followed and Allegedly Murdered His Ex-Girlfriend
Mann Austin Hayes is on the run and Texas authorities are asking for help with their efforts to bring the alleged murderer to justice.

Deputies in Houston are appealing for the public's help in tracking down an alleged murderer who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Julie De La Garza.
According to a statement released by the Harris County Sheriff's Office on Sunday De La Garza and a man were followed by her ex-boyfriend, 21-year-old Mann Austin Hayes, who "shot at them striking her in the head."
KTRK reports that the couple were driving in a truck when Hayes allegedly fired shots through the back window.
Despite being flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston by Life Flight De La Garza succumbed to her injury the next day. Haye's vehicle, a white Toyota, was later located a short distance from the shooting.
De La Garza's sister told KPRC "I just want justice for Julie and I just want him to come forward. I just want him to come forward so the investigation can continue and my sister can rest in peace."
Citing court records, KPRC also reports that Hayes had been arrested last November and charged with aggravated assault, resulting in Hayes being granted three years of supervision. Whether the victim was Julie De La Garza is unknown.
