ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — St. Augustine police officers acting on an anonymous tip last Saturday searched three individuals in a parked car and arrested two of them for drug possession. And, yes, one of the arrestees is actually named Crystal Methvin.

Officers located the parked car in a lot off the South Dixie Highway. After the occupants conceded to a search, the cops found drug paraphernalia and a substance that field-tested positive for crystal meth — in the possession of Crystal Methvin.

This latest arrest marks the 16th drug-related bust for the 40-year-old Crystal Methvin. The St. John’s County Sheriff’s Office posted an image listing her prior run-ins with the law, which date back to 1998.

Those charges include 14 third-degree felonies of “possession of a controlled substance without prescription” and one first-degree count of misdemeanor drug possession/use.

In addition to Crystal Methvin, officers also booked Douglas Nickerson on possession charges.

Crystal Methvin was last reported being held on $21,500 bond.

Once again — we can’t get over this — a Florida woman who got busted for allegedly possessing crystal meth really is named Crystal Methvin.

Please note, however, Crystal Methvin is not to be confused with another Florida arrestee who, after previously facing drug charges, got popped in 2014 for allegedly firing a missile into a car. That Florida woman was actually named Crystal Metheny.
