Final Prayer : Tim Carney
Every morning, 25 year-old Tim Carney wakes up at 5 AM to go to morning prayers with his church, Gospel Outreach. One autumn morning in 2004, Tim breaks his routine and never shows up at morning prayers. Later, he calls work to say he'll be late but Tim never appears.
The Carneys believe Tim may have been escaping his congregation and what they saw as a strict lifestyle.
Over the next few days, Tim's wallet and car turn up with no signs of foul play. Since the car is found near Newark Airport, police consider the possibility that Tim may have boarded a flight. Upon learning that his job gave Tim access to social security numbers, investigators suspect he could have assumed a new identity, making it nearly impossible to track him.
Days after he disappears, a man fitting Tim's description nearly empties his bank account at a branch far from his home. Then, after several weeks, employees at a bar near the airport identify a recent patron as Tim Carney. Investigators canvass the area. But their searches come up empty. With no further leads, detectives, and Tim's family, are left wondering whether he left of his own accord, or whether Tim may be in trouble.
