Danice Day

Missing since January 9, 2002

Danice Day's father receives a phone call on January 12, 2002 that throws him into a panic. His daughter has not been seen in her hometown of Monte Vista, Colorado for three days. The 19-year-old hasn't shown up to her waitressing job and is not at home taking care of her two young children. Knowing that Danice recently beat a drug addiction and was beginning to regain control of her life, friends and family are shocked by her absence and begin aggressively searching the town.

When the investigation starts, it is problematic from the beginning. Signs of small town connections seem to be working to the possible suspect's advantage and outlandish comments made by the sheriff seem to compromise the case. But, just when family members start to give up hope, a new sheriff takes office; renewing their faith that one day they will have answers.
